In 2011, BrightFarms was founded with the mission to grow leafy greens locally, providing fresher produce while also saving on food transportation miles. That mission grew from a 1-acre greenhouse to multiple greenhouse locations delivering locally grown, pesticide-free greens to neighborhood stores in as few as 24 hours after harvest.

Today, BrightFarms is a leading producer of indoor grown salad kits, reaching two-thirds of US households with their fresh, clean leafy greens and creating jobs in the communities where they grow. BrightFarms’ growing footprint includes three regional greenhouse hubs strategically located to deliver over 20 million pounds of fresh leafy greens each year.
