Cox Farms

We updated our sign message to clarify what we thought was obvious; a ceasefire, by definition, means that all involved parties (aka "all y'all") cease their fire.

We at Cox Farms ask for a ceasefire.

A ceasefire to allow mothers in Gaza to travel safely to Egypt to reunite with their newborn babies rescued from the bombed Al Shifa Hospital.

A ceasefire so that traumatized children, more than half the population of Gaza, can sleep through the night without the terror that when they wake up their families will be dead.

A ceasefire so that survivors can dig through the rubble of their homes and to find loved ones whose lives were cut short and mourn the 14,000 Gazan lives lost, the majority women and children.

A ceasefire is not enough. A ceasefire will not bring back the dead, a ceasefire will not allow people to return to their homes which do no longer exist.

We join the world’s calls for the safe return of Israeli hostages and we mourn for those who were killed on Oct. 7. These lost lives do not justify the severity of Israel's military response - which is resulting in a genocide of the Palestinian people before our eyes. Jewish people around the world are calling for peace and we stand alongside them. We ask along with those around the world- with the UN leadership and with humanitarian organizations - how is killing thousands more an act of defense? And what is being done to Palestinians in the name of retribution? The families of the Israeli hostages themselves are calling for a ceasefire. Justice will not come from the collective punishment of 2 million Gazan civilians- who have run out of food, water, and hope of survival, and many more in the West Bank who are being rounded up and arrested in mass without reason.

We join along with the millions around the world calling for a ceasefire; we mourn for the dead and will keep fighting for the living.

Adam Mossoff @AdamMossoff Disappointing that @CoxFarmsTweets is pro-Hamas. I used to go there, but if u respond to murder, rape, torture of 1200+ innocents, incl beheading babies, is to demand victims not defend themselves, you're not just mistaken. You're immoral monster & antisemitic. This isn't hard.

I think I would find a different local tree farm that doesn't stand up for baby killers and child rapist. And they post an anti Semitic response to try to clarify that they aren't really anti semites. Check this out: redstate.com/terichristoph/2023/11/25/woke-christmas-tree-farm-in-virginia-posts-ugly-antisemitic...

Cox Farms Why don’t you consider Hamas vowing to kill all Jews everywhere a call for genocide against Israel and the Jews of the world? Why don’t you call for the release of the hostages taken by Hamas? Why don’t you condemn the killing of people at a concert? Why don’t you tell Hamas to use all the money they have received to build a home for the Palestinians for housing, healthcare and food instead of tunnels, rockets and massive homes in other Arab countries for their leaders. There was peace in Gaza before October 7. Hamas attacked Israel. Israel did not attack Hamas.

It's never too late to boycott anti-Semitic Cox Farms. I'll certainly never spend another dime there. Woke Christmas Tree Farm in Virginia Posts Shameful Antisemitic Message on Welcome Sign redstate.com/terichristoph/2023/11/25/woke-christmas-tree-farm-in-virginia-posts-ugly-antisemitic...

Nothing says Christmas by appeasing people who want to kill Jews whose number one Jew, Jesus Christ is the reason for your business

Screw you.

Not my local tradition… you are just a bunch of antisemits. Never again!

Your farm supports Hamas. Here are some more details about the terrorist group that you support: www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/aunt-says-hamas-forced-12-year-old-hostage-to-watch-videos-o...

They’re so cute before they begin beheading and raping and dismembering both living and dead Jews. ▶️ Watch this reel www.facebook.com/reel/1784669238650816?fs=e&s=TIeQ9V&mibextid=0NULKw

What, no children "of color" in this photo? Seems kinda white supremacist-y to me.

Did these children sign off on being anti-Semitic props?

Note: An earlier version of this post included a few additional sentences. Thank you to those who thoughtfully engaged with feedback. While we think that the weaponization of the term antisemitic is dangerous for all people, we also understand that it is not for us to define. We apologize.
——
We have been informed that our sign message reading “Ceasefire Now” is offensive to some people.

To clarify our message:

We believe that we are not free until we are ALL free.
Yes, that includes hostages.
And political prisoners, and people who are undocumented or unhoused, and people living under occupation or colonial rule, and yes, Ukrainians, and yes, Palestinians.

We are committed to fighting injustice and white supremacy. We will continue to use the small roadside platform we have to “speak truth to traffic,” because we believe that showing solidarity with oppressed people is the right thing to do. We continue to condemn racism and hate, including both antisemitism and anti-Muslim sentiments.

Thank you for always speaking out for what's right! My family has been visiting your farm for almost 40 years and I absolutely love you all!

This farm is always so well calibrated with justice movements of all kinds. I’ve been glad to follow your social media and visit your wonderful farm.

Please note - if you are only calling for cease fire from Israel, you are missing that Hamas has been indiscriminately firing rockets into Israel. So please correct your explanation to include a cease fire from Hamas and a release of all not some of their hostages. They are not political prisoners.

☮️ thank you.

Thank you Cox Farms!!

Thank you, to put it simply. I have always and will always love this local business 🩵🩵

Thank you !!

Thanks for always standing on the right side of history and standing up for ALL people ❤️ Need to come get some kettle corn and some donuts!

Great job cox farms I have so many good memories with this place and it’s getting better everyday after seeing your support and raise your platform to the next level. We need to be united and condemn for any kind of injustice either our homeland or on this earth 🌍

Thank you

Thank you so much for this

How is this offensive? It’s a message of peace. We need more of this! ☮️🕊️

Thank you 🙏

Thank you for reminding me that there is hope! 🍉🇵🇸🙌🏻

🍉💝Your message of inclusivity and compassion resonated deeply with me. After taking the time to absorb your thoughtful words, I ventured into the comments section and was met with a wave of negativity. It was disheartening to witness individuals who clearly hadn't fully engaged with your message, disregarding your heartfelt concern for the hostages. These comments reflected a disturbing willingness to overlook the atrocities committed in our name, perpetuating harmful prejudices. I commend your unwavering stance against such divisive sentiments. I join you in the hope that every individual can find it within themselves to shed the shackles of hate and embrace empathy, embracing others with open hearts and minds. May this Thanksgiving season serve as a catalyst for unity and understanding. Happy Thanksgiving to you as well.

Thank you ❤️❤️

I love me some Cox Farms. Thank you for consistently using your platform to support justice and peace for everyone.

Thank you Cox farms!

Thank you Cox Farms for standing with humanity! 😍🇵🇸

The world is a better place because of people like you! You give me hope! Thank you from Canada 🇨🇦👏👏👏 #abetterworldispossible #TogetherWeCan

Amen

👏🏽👏🏽♥️👏🏽👏🏽

We’ve been going to the farm since childhood and thank you for all that you do for the community! This is such a balanced, truthful statement that really leaves no room for opposition. My respect deepens for your establishment and you have our full support

Thank you ❤️

This speaks volumes ❤️
