Community

Community

We’re proud to call northern Virginia home. Our neighbors throughout the Centreville, Virginia and Washington, D.C. region are an integral part of our farm’s success, so we’ve established initiatives to give back to the community that has supported us through the decades.

In The Community

Every day we take pause to appreciate the diversity and energy unique to the region. We also understand the challenges many families, schools and organizations face. We have seen generations grow alongside us, and we consider helping our neighbors an important responsibility that we take seriously. Through partnerships and our cultivated community initiatives, we hope to provide local families and organizations with resources and activities that lead to healthier, happier communities, from the Washington Monument to our Hayride Start and beyond.

Community Initiatives

In 2011, Cox Farms started a campaign to "adopt a family" in need by agreeing to match any donation made in lieu of tips during the winter season. Our Holiday Donation campaign quickly transformed into a major initiative, with more than $65,000 donated to local organizations, such as Britepaths and Northern Virginia Family Services since 2011.

Our Free and Reduced Admission Initiative provides kids with the opportunity to attend our highly anticipated Fall Festival.

Cox Farms currently accepts requests for discounted and free admission and donations from eligible groups across the Washington, D.C., area.

Partnerships

Westfield High School

Westfield High School

When Westfield High School opened in 2000, Cox Farms began its partnership with the local school by providing product donations and supporting school publications. Over the years, we have provided tasty summer produce for the Bulldog BBQ, supported activities by purchasing program ads and donating for fundraisers, and more.

Northern Virginia Family Service

Northern Virginia Family Service

Northern Virginia Family Service is a nonprofit community service organization dedicated to helping individuals and families find new paths to self-reliance and brighter futures. NVFS provides case management, safe housing, counseling, medical and dental access, child care and development, affordable loans, foster and respite care and job training. SERVE is NVFS's Manassas campus, which includes a large emergency shelter, food distribution and many other services. Cox Farms is proud to support the critically important work of NVFS all year long. From the March Bowlathon to free Fall Festival admission to donating thousands of dollars to their holiday program, Cox Farms is happy to be involved. As our relationship with NVFS grows, we continue to find ways to help the organization.
